How you can help

There are loads of ways you can help to support Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

ALT TEXT

We’re always looking for new project ideas, we’ve got lots of ways you can fundraise for us (and your area), you can get together with colleagues and friends to join one of our events, and you can tell your patients all about us.

Did you know we have a weekly lottery? You could win up to £1,000 every week by playing and monies raised help us to fund projects and important ongoing initiatives like Arts in Health and Voluntary Services across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT.

Fundraising

Get together with colleagues for a fun challenge (link to events page) and help raise funds (link to fundraising page) for something you know is needed. The Charity team will support you every step of the way!

Leaving a gift to Sheffield Hospitals Charity is simple, but we do encourage you to get advice from a solicitor when drawing up your Will.

These useful tips will help you with your preparation before you see a Will-making professional.

1. Think about your assets

Once you’ve chosen your solicitor, you’ll need to think about what assets are likely to make up your estate after you die. This could include money, property, and the value of any jewellery, antiques or collectables that you own – minus the value of any debts you might have, like a mortgage or credit card loan.

2. Consider the people and causes that matter to you

Start by thinking about the loved ones you’d like to include in your Will. Make sure you have their full names and addresses. After that, you might want to consider leaving a gift to Sheffield Hospitals Charity. You’ll need our full address and Charity number:

Sheffield Hospitals Charity, Wycliffe House, Northern General Hospital, Herries Road, Sheffield, S5 7AT

Registered Charity No. 1169762

Volunteer

We know that your time is precious and that you give so much already to your patients.

Maybe you are coming into retirement and want to keep active and involved with supporting Sheffield’s NHS? Perhaps you know a friend, family member or a patient connection that may want to get involved in giving us their time?

We have lots of ways for people to volunteer with us and it’s a rewarding experience.
