Say thank you

Did you know you can send a personal message of thanks to a staff member, a team or a volunteer? It’s really easy to do.

Say thank you

A little thank you goes a long way.

A few kind words can make a big difference to NHS staff.

There are posters, postcards and banners around the hospital sites. Look out for them if you are visiting or attending an appointment. You’ll recognise them straight away by the Pete McKee ‘National Hug Service’ picture featured.

You can scan a QR code or text THANKS SHC to 84901 and we’ll send you a link if you’re visiting our hospitals.

But as you’re here the easiest way to leave a thank you message is to click here

“Where would I be without you? Over 30 years of being cared for by our NHS. Eternally Grateful”

“Thank you so much for the care my baby received. You are all superheroes in our eyes and will always have a special place in our hearts”

“I cheered you in lockdown and I continue to cheer for all you have done for my ongoing health problems. You care lovingly and thoughtfully. Thank you”

“Thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Northen General who looked after my daughter last November. So much kindness shown”
