I build relationships with our fantastic supporters and deliver and develop our challenge events programme. I encourage people to push outside their comfort zones and do my best to make sure they have a great experience fundraising for the charity before, during, and after their event. I also build meaningful partnerships with local businesses and community organisations across Sheffield, working together to create a positive impact for Sheffield's NHS.
Guess what? When I moved abroad, I took my sourdough starter (Sammy) with me in a spice jar.

Drawing on my varied charity experience and with our Leadership Team, I drive Sheffield Hospitals Charity forward. With our Board of Trustees, Charity staff, NHS colleagues, and external stakeholders I ensure we're being as strategic and collaborative as possible, so that together we can support our NHS where it's most needed.
Guess what? I wrote and performed a one woman show.

Executive Assistant
As Executive Assistant to our CEO I support our CEO, the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, to ensure they can all work as effectively as possible. I’m the go to for most things, from co-ordinating board meetings and distributing minutes to helping with recruitment and everything in between.
Guess what? I spent three weeks in China and attended the Ice Festival in Harbin where temperatures drop to -24 degrees during the day!

Events Fundraising Officer
As Events Fundraising Officer I help plan, organise, and deliver exciting fundraising events that bring our amazing supporters together to make a real difference. Whether it’s a charity run, our annual Christmas tree collections, or something totally out of the ordinary, I love making sure each event is a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Seeing the generosity and dedication of our fundraisers and volunteers first-hand is the best part of my job!
Guess what? I make my own clay earrings and occasionally sell them at local craft markets - I love meeting the lovely people who stop by!

Individual Giving Manager
As Individual Giving and Legacies Manager, I’m responsible for encouraging both new and existing supporters to donate and help us to support Sheffield’s NHS. This includes looking after our weekly lottery, encouraging one-off donations and regular giving and gifts in Wills.
Guess what? I once bungee jumped off the world’s largest waterfall!

As Marketing and Communications Officer, I focus on writing press releases, internal and external communications, and news pieces for our website. I love bringing the Charity and supporter stories to life and showcasing the incredible work that we do to support Sheffield’s NHS.
Guess what? They say owners start to look like their pets, but I don’t know what they mean.

Grants Officer
I look after all grants under £5,000, which means I support staff from our two Trusts to deliver small (but mighty) projects which benefit patients, families, and our staff! My job involves supporting staff to submit grant applications, working with grant holders to turn their ideas into reality, and measuring the amazing impact our grants are having on our patients and the staff supporting them.
Guess what? I ran an ultramarathon and loved every second of it!

Community and Events Fundraising Manager
I manage the Community and Events Fundraising team. My role is to identify new events and community engagement opportunities across Sheffield and beyond looking for ways to support our existing and potential supporters. That’s runners, walkers, golfers, skydivers and organisations like schools, places of worship or community groups like Rotaries, and more. I love supporting my team in their own roles and meeting our amazing supporters!
Guess what? I’ve got two gorgeous nieces and I’m very dedicated to keeping the role of favourite Auntie. I’ve got a great witch impression which they love.

Director of Fundraising
I love to find great ideas, find great people, and bring the two together. I lead the amazing Fundraising Team at Sheffield Hospitals Charity, and together we work with NHS colleagues, volunteers, donors, and partners to secure funding for projects that improve healthcare across Sheffield. Part fundraiser, part storyteller, and part project wrangler - if there's a big idea worth backing, I'm probably interested.
Guess what? I am a qualified climbing instructor. It turns out convincing someone they can scale a cliff or climb a mountain is surprisingly good preparation for convincing people to invest in ambitious charitable projects.

As Finance Director I oversee all financial activities and reporting. I work in collaboration with our Senior Leadership Team, the CEO and Trustees to ensure that our strategic objectives are achieved and developed. I ensure financial compliance with controls and procedures which are in accordance with the Charities Commission. My job is to make sure the Charity delivers value for money and that funds are spent in the right areas.
Guess what? I worked in St Lucia teaching in a secondary school for disadvantaged children.

Trusts and Foundations Officer
As Trusts and Foundations Officer, I research, write, and manage applications to charitable Trusts and Foundations to secure funding for our impactful projects. I build relationships with these generous funders, who are investing in SHC’s commitment to providing additional funding to our beneficiary NHS Trusts.
Guess what? I love Taylor Swift nearly as much as I love fundraising!

Data and Insights Officer
As the team's Data and Insights Officer, it's my job to build reports which help us make data-driven decisions and fundraise in innovative, effective ways. I also make sure that the records we keep are compliant and organised. I'm so proud that the reporting I produce for the SHC team helps us fundraise as best as we can, which in turn supports healthcare for everyone across our wonderful city.
Guess what? I was part of a Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously doing the same tap dance routine!

My role is to get to know the real people and communities of Sheffield and to help them support our NHS patients and staff. I love meeting people and working with organisations like schools, colleges and Universities; community groups like Rotaries and Lions; faith groups and more. Guess what? I was a primary school teacher for six years.

I’m the Digital Marketing and Communications Officer, helping to oversee all things digital. My work covers everything from managing the website and running our social media to sending our newsletters. I am also the in-house graphic designer and photographer. I love telling the stories of our impact and the incredible work we do as a charity across Sheffield.
Guess what? I taught myself how to play the bass and have played in bands ever since!

Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager
As Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager, I look after our high-value relationships, such as with businesses and individuals who want to make a real difference to Sheffield's NHS. This includes building corporate partnerships, growing major donor support, and leading Sheffield Dragons, our new philanthropic giving network bringing Sheffield together to fund innovation in healthcare. I love working with people and organisations who share our ambition for Sheffield's NHS. I also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Officer to build these same kinds of relationships.
Guess what? I have made four wedding cakes and used to have my own small cake making and decorating business.

Guess what? I once worked with Noddy Holder and every Christmas I mark the occasion by sharing my picture with him.

I work with STH and SHSC’s amazing teams to translate great ideas into reality! We exist to deliver patient benefit, but we can’t do this unless NHS staff work with us to develop their ideas. For large projects this can mean months of dialogue and the millions of pounds we grant each year, as a result, really is worth it. Director of Dreams at your service!
Guess what? When I started school I couldn’t speak a word of English but it didn’t stop me: In 2004, I qualified as a solicitor and worked as a construction litigator for a leading international law firm before joining the Charity.

Finance Officer
As the Finance Officer, I oversee the processing side of the charity, making sure invoices are paid promptly and all financial information from suppliers and customers is accurate. I also deal with parts of payroll and fundraising income, ensuring it all goes to the correct funds. Basically, if something needs paying or someone needs to pay us, I am the guy!
Guess what? I used to hold two world records in a popular car racing game on the PlayStation 3.

I’m the Finance Manager and I joined the Charity as Senior Finance and Legacy Officer in 2014. I oversee the Charity’s income and expenditure, NHS staff study leave claims, Legacy gift administration and the management of our fund structure.

As Fundraising Assistant, my role is all about variety - no two days are ever the same! I support everything from campaigns and appeals to events, helping the fundraising team bring ideas to life. I’m a friendly first point of contact for many in our community, and I love getting stuck in and making fundraising fun while supporting patients and NHS staff across Sheffield.
Guess what? I lived in Madrid for 15 years working as an English teacher, and speak fluent Spanish!

Sheffield Hospitals Charity Mascot
I have the best job in the Charity. I get to bring joy to people across Sheffield. If people see me out and about, they can’t help but smile and wave. I was created as part of a competition with schools across Sheffield by a girl called Isabelle. She’s so clever! Isabelle says I’m a caring cat of all colours to look after everyone and that I wear a rainbow cape to celebrate our NHS superheroes.
Guess what? Isabelle based my creation on her own ginger cat.
