Crafting for Good
Crafting for Good is a way for you to get creative and provide comfort to patients and their families through heartfelt stitched, crocheted, or knitted donations.
From bonding hearts for parents and babies on the Jessop Wing, to Forget-Me-Nots for a loved one, your crafted gift will be used where it is needed most across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
To ensure that your time and handmade gifts are put to good use, please read the guidelines below for each design and be mindful of these when you make your crafty donation.
Once you’ve finished crafting, you can donate your creations by either them by post or arrange a time to drop them off directly with us at the charity. We would really appreciate if you could please provide your name, address, phone number, and email address along with your lovely donation. This is so that we can keep track of what you’ve donated and send you information about how your crafts have helped people across the hospitals.

“I was recently looking after a lady with dementia, she was very distressed and pulling at her blankets. I asked a nurse whether we had anything she could hold onto to keep her hands occupied; she showed me the twiddle blankets. I was surprised at how effective this was in calming the patient. I've since used this for more patients and they have loved them - one described it as "beautiful" and was very pleased with her new present. Hospitals are scary places, so thank you for providing something that gives a little bit of comfort.”
