Our gift shop at the Northern General Hospital has now reopened. An exciting refurbishment means that everything is new, from the paint on the walls to the merchandise on the shelves.
Feedback from staff, patients and visitors to the hospital has informed the products now stocked in store. There are “Straight Outta Jessops” babygrows, travel cups, slogan notebooks, “I heart our NHS” tote bags, t-shirts and many more colourful items.
The new collection features products inspired by "Our National Health Stories," a programme that engaged thousands of NHS staff to explore, share and reflect upon what being part of the NHS means to them, what it stands for and the impact it has had on their lives. The Arts in Health Team, funded by supporters of Sheffield Hospitals Charity, collected an array of drawings, poetry, music, and songs from staff and volunteers across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
The shop can be found at the entrance of the Huntsman building, opposite the coffee shop and choosing to buy from us goes beyond a simple purchase. It helps to support patients and staff, life-changing research and more, so that Sheffield Hospitals Charity can enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.
Opening times are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.
