Meadowhall launch Christmas gift cards in support of Jessop Maternity Wing

This Christmas, Meadowhall is showing support for their Charity of the Year, Sheffield Hospitals Charity, through limited-edition Christmas gift cards designed by local artist Luke Horton, with all funds going to the Jessop Maternity Wing.

Jessops look after around 6,500 women every year from across Sheffield and the wider region.

The charity provide additional support from on-site accommodation so parents can be near their poorly baby in neonatal intensive care, a family care nurse who provides comfort, guidance and a listening ear to families while their baby is being cared for, special memory making activities giving families something to treasure to remember their baby and this December babies born at Jessops will receive a special gift.

This year’s Meadowhall Christmas gift card has been designed in partnership with local artist Luke Horton, who recently raised over £10,000 for Sheffield Hospitals Charity to support the neonatal intensive care unit at Jessops and say thank you for the care his daughter received.

The limited-edition gift card wallets cost an additional £1 with 100% of this donation going straight to Sheffield Hospitals Charity to fund projects which support mums, babies and their families at Jessop Maternity Wing.

Beth Crackles, CEO of Sheffield Hospitals Charity, said:

“We are so grateful to Meadowhall for their amazing support this year, and we're thrilled they're getting behind our campaign to support Jessops this Christmas. Jessop Maternity Wing has a special place in the hearts of people across Sheffield and beyond, and thanks to our generous supporters, like Luke, we are proud to be able to offer additional help where it is needed most.”

Darren Pearce, Centre Director at Meadowhall, said:

"Jessops means so much to many local families across Sheffield, and we're proud to support the incredible work they do. Working with Luke Horton on this year's gift card design has made it even more meaningful – his daughter's journey and the care she received really brings home why this support matters so much.

"Our gift cards are a simple way to pick up a practical gift while making a real difference to mums, babies and families who need it most during some of their most challenging moments."

The limited-edition gift cards are the perfect present for someone special who might be hard to buy for and can be used in the majority of the centre’s stores and restaurants. They can be purchased online or in centre from the Customer Service desks, Customer Hub and our Christmas kiosk on the Upper Arcade.
