The Red Shoe Walk Terms and Conditions

Everyone must register to take part – including children. 

Children aged 0–15 must be registered by a parent/guardian and always be with a responsible adult on the day. 

Your place can’t be transferred to someone else. 

The walk is suitable for all ages, but it is a physical challenge – please make sure you (and your child, if registering for one) are fit to take part. 

The entry fee is non-refundable. 

If the event is postponed, we’ll let you know and try to rearrange. If it can’t be rearranged, we’ll offer a full refund. 

Sheffield Hospitals Charity can cancel or refuse participation at any time if needed. 

The finish line closes at midday. 

If continue after this time, you do so at your own risk. 

Make sure you (and anyone you register) are fit and healthy enough to take part. 

If you have a health condition or take medication that we need to know about, declare this on registering 

This is a walk-only event – no running please! 

There will be marshals to guide you, but they won’t stop traffic – always use crossings and be responsible, especially with children. 

Wear suitable clothing and shoes, and bring water and sun cream. 

Please follow all instructions from event staff, volunteers, or emergency services. 

Be respectful to the public and other participants. 

Use bins and recycling points along the route. 

No smoking, vaping, or drinking alcohol during the walk. 

We may turn away anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs or behaving badly.

We’ll contact you about this event and fundraising. You can choose if you’d like to hear more from us or Meadowhall after registering. 

By taking part, you’re happy for us and Meadowhall to use any event photos or videos for publicity and fundraising.
