Get ready for the Red Shoe Walk! A fun, family-friendly walk around the outskirts of Meadowhall on Sunday the 3rd August.
You can don your own pair of red shoes, grab a free pair of red shoe covers, or walk in whatever you want! We'll walk an accessible 3km route together, raising funds for vital dementia care projects in Sheffield.
Please note: Walk-up places will be available on the day between 9am and 9:30am for those who have not been able to register online. Online registration is now closed.
For those who have pre-registered, please go to the Summer Beach Club, and head to one of our sign-in huts, give us your surname and collect your Red Shoe Walk t-shirt. Sign-in opens from 9am.
For walk-ups, please go to the Summer Beach Club, and head to our sign-up tent. Walk-ups can sign up to join us between 9am and 9.30am. Payment will be taken for joining the walk, and you will be given a Red Shoe Walk t-shirt (subject to availability).
Our special on stage warm-up starts at 9:30am

From 9am refreshments will be available to purchase. Summer Beach Club fairground rides will open exclusively for Red Shoe Walkers from 10:30am (please note fairground rides are an additional cost).
To gain free entry into the Summer Beach Club after the walk or throughout the day, you must be wearing your Red Shoe Walk t-shirt.
(if you have been unable to obtain a Red Shoe Walk t-shirt you will be given a red wristband to show).
Why red shoes?
The colour red can increase brain wave activity in people with dementia. It easily catches their attention. It’s a colour that can be seen clearly, even through to the late stages of dementia. Help us create a sea of red around Meadowhall shopping centre and show your support. Everyone who takes part will get an exclusive Red Shoe Walk t-shirt to wear on the day.
Places cost just £5 per adult, £3 per child or £14 for a family of four. Under 3’s go free!
Our route is flat and accessible making it ideal for all ages and abilities.
Join us for a warm up with none other than music legend and charity ambassador Tony Christie!
Sonic the Hedgehog will also be there (in his red shoes!) to help us get warmed up, alongside Transformers Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and Gladiators finalist, Bronte!

Free entry to the Meadowhall Summer Beach Club will be offered on the day to all those participants wearing their Red Shoe Walk t-shirt
Sign up to join our Red Shoe Walk before midnight 30th June and you could be in with a chance of winning a £500 Meadowhall Gift Card to treat you and your family.
The first 250 participants to register for the Red Shoe Walk will be entered into our prize draw, and be in with the chance of winning one of four prizes: an Ipad Mini (6th Generation Wi-Fi, 64GB), a pack of 4 x AirTags (two available) and a pack of 1 x AirTag.

We'd love everyone taking part in the Red Shoe Walk to collect a few donations from sponsors, but there’s no pressure to do so! If you do want to fundraise, our friendly fundraising team are here to support you every step of the way – they'll help you set up your fundraising page and send you plenty of useful tips.
Funds raised will help improve hospital spaces and activities, provide specialist dementia training for NHS staff, volunteers and family carers, and help people with dementia to live independently.
