Grants of over £5,000

Applications are open all year round, but cut-off dates apply depending on Panel meeting dates – please see the calendar below.

When applying for a grant over £5,000, we want to support you in putting together your very best proposal.

To get started, fill in an Expression of Interest with:

•          a brief outline of your project idea and who will it benefit

•          the estimated funding required

•          the name or number of the Special Purpose Fund(s) you’re making an application to. If you do not know this, we’ll assist with you with identifying the Special Purpose Fund(s) linked to your Directorate.

We will review your Expression of Interest within 3-4 weeks. If the proposal is eligible for charitable funding, we will advise on what you need to do to apply.

Where no Special Purpose Funds are linked to your Directorate/ward, you can apply to one of our Funding Calls.

Applications of over £5,000 are reviewed by the Grants Investment Panel, which meets four times a year.
