How you can help

There are loads of ways you can help to support your Charity and we’d love you to get involved. Somewhere along the line, our funding is likely to have helped you to treat patients in your care.

How you can help

By looking after you, we’re helping to make sure you’re ready to look after your patients

Submit Project Ideas

We love to hear your ideas.

If you have a project idea that will enhance patient experience, support staff wellbeing, help reduce health inequalities in Sheffield or is linked to technology, research and innovation get in touch…

Tell your patients about the difference we make

When patients want to thank you for the care they’ve received, you can direct them to our website to donate (including to a specific fund for your area) and they can fin out about how else they can get involved. We’ve got lots of ways that people can support you through fundraising, events, volunteering and even by playing our weekly lottery.

Help us spread the word. We’re your Charity!

Fundraise

Get together with colleagues for a fun challenge (link to events page) and help raise funds for something you know is needed. The Charity team will support you every step of the way!

Take part in an event

Either as an individual or as a team with your NHS colleagues, you can sign up to one of our exciting events.

From running to cycling, skydiving to golf, whatever your thing you can get involved in supporting your charity.

If there is something else you really want to do, that’s not on our list, get in touch. We love to hear new ideas and we can help organise alternative challenge events if there are enough of you willing to commit and fundraise for us.

Don’t forget you can fundraise for your area, or you can simply fundraise for us generally and we’ll get the funds to where they are needed most.

You can get in touch with our experienced fundraising team by emailing charity@shct.nhs.uk or by calling us on 0114 226 7351

Play our weekly Lottery

Did you know we have a weekly lottery?

You could win up to £1,000 every week by playing and monies raised help us to fund projects and important ongoing initiatives like Arts in Health and Voluntary Services across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT.

Shop in our Hub and on our website

Did you know that we have a Charity Hub at the Northern General? It’s in the Huntsman entrance opposite the coffee shop. We’ve got cards, gifts, local makers products and we’re developing our stock all the time. The money we raise from our Hub goes directly to supporting your Charity.

So pop in if you’re nearby, have a browse and maybe even treat yourself. You deserve it.

Volunteer

We know that your time is precious and that you give so much already to your patients.

Maybe you are coming into retirement and want to keep active and involved with supporting Sheffield’s NHS? Perhaps you know a friend, family member or a patient connection that may want to get involved in giving us their time?

We have lots of ways for people to volunteer with us and it’s a rewarding experience.

Come and grab a cuppa

We know how difficult it is to get time away from your busy ward or area. But if you do fancy a brew and want to chat through any ideas you have, you want to meet the team, or you want to understand more about how we help our NHS staff you are always welcome. We’d love to see you.

We’re based at the Northern General (Wycliffe House, just next to the Sewing Room!) you’ll find us here:
